Week 8: Why One Billionth of a Volt Can Change Everything

Did you know that thought literally is the one thing we can control?

It also takes one billionth of a volt to change our thoughts, to change our outlook.  That is it!

An average bolt of lightning, striking from cloud to ground, contains roughly one billion (1,000,000,000) joules of energy. This is no small amount, enough to power a 60-watt lightbulb for six months plus a forgotten open door refrigerator for a day.

There is 1.5 volts in a single AA battery…so you need 1 billionth of that to put it into perspective.

The things in this life that make our life more fulfilling and worthwhile are so simple to do that they are also so simple NOT to do.  It just takes a small miniscule part of one volt to change that.  I’ve seen it happen in my own life and I’ve seen it happen is so many other dear friends and tribe members that I guide in the Master Key Experience Course. Just a thought can change everything.  One dear friend is making leaps and bounds in her world within, Lucinda…just her name sounds so fantastic!  She sees and realizes the value of thought and what changing a thought for the positive can do. You see that one thought create a cascade of domino effects and thoughts that can change everything on the inside out.  Here is part of her beautiful story and journey. Much Love,

Just a Thought

“The way to happiness: keep your heart free from hate, your mind free from worry. Live simply, expect little, give much. Fill your life with love. Scatter sunshine. Forget self, think of others. Do as you would be done by. Try this for a week and you will be surprised.” Norman Vincent Peale

As a child, my Dad always kept a copy of Norman Vincent Peale’s book, “The Power of Positive Thinking” on the table near his chair. I have fond memories of him reading, a newspaper or book always in his hands. This image has been clear and bright this week as I have attempted to string together seven days of positive thinking. Throughout the years I would often pick up his book (sheepishly, when Dad wasn’t there), and without much thought; read short passages. Later in life, when I would visit my home, this book, a mystery to me,  was always placed carefully near my Dad’s reading spot. I have never read it cover to cover. One reason, this was a sacred Dad spot. My family system was not democratic;  it was without question, authoritarian. I did not dare touch his things. Later in life, I believed this book to be the work of a zealous right-wing  preacher, and oh my God, why did Dad read this stuff?

I really do not know if my active mind embraced anything positive from my Dad’s book but I do know that, recently, I mysteriously found myself connected and enrolled in the 2016 MKMMA class. It’s week 7. Assignment. No negative thoughts for 7 days, a mental diet. Really?  I have been facing lots of personal challenges. My external life appears to be a mess, and now I know, my internal world has created this. I have been labeled strong and courageous as well as playing the victim this week. Throughout all of this, I believe I am a positive person.

I was introduced to the 7 Laws of the Mind and began to employ the Law of Substitution to sustain positive thoughts this week. Truly, I have not been able to make it through one day.  However,  I know Substitution is effective however as, when I recognize negative thoughts,  I am able to transform them into positive ones. As I practice, positive thoughts are becoming more definitive and taking shape more quickly. I am making progress.

ONE LOVE. Lucinda
